| Please help, I have re-installed XP which I have done before but this time I cant get to my old documents. I can see the directory in C:|documents\settings\(User Name) but it says access denied on my old login. I hope you can help me get them back or I have lost all my stuff. I created new user names but I can see some of the old documents under previous users except mine as they were higher privelage. Is there any way I can get the files back as I also lost my restore point. Regards Roy | Guest

| If you log in as Admin, you should be able to access the folder, unless maybe you had the files encrypted. Have you tried creating the same user and logging in as that? I imagine you must have tried, but just in case. Mike Quote:

| Have an admin go into the computer, (not sure what system you have), right click the user's name and change the password. Depending on system the exact directions are different. -- Thomas O'Grady, Security Business Unit Microsoft Corporation This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
