Bitlocker Encryption without a TPM (Scenario 3)

I reformatted my hard drive and set up two partitions - One primary active
25 gig with NTFS and one additional partition for D: drive 11 gig. Total
drive is about 38 gig. I try to turn on Bitlocker Encryption in Control
Panel and it says the drive is still not configured after turning on the
Group Policy.

Mike,
I had difficulty doing it, but is the bitlocker one set as active?
It's gotta be set active; if I remember correctly.
Jill Z(MSFT) is very helpful with it.
I did it-but can't remember the steps-sorry; you're part way there though.

Any help for Mike, room??

Hello,
You have it correct Jeff.
The second partition needs to be the active one with the boot file on it.
It should also be the second one partition so your partitioning scheme is
correct.
So you need to boot from the smaller second partition into Windows on the
first partition.
Thenyou should be able to encrypt the Windows Partition
