Default Black screen after window startup and login

I just got a black screen after user login.

I was having problem installing WinZip v11. It complains about another
explorer was already open and can't install. So I restart Window to try to
clear the problem, but not I can't find the 'start menu' and programs.

Facing the black screen I hit Alt-ctl-Del, I can start task manager and the
'services' seems all thre with Apache web server, MySQL, MS SQL, etc.

I can get to on-line help and post question here; but when I click the link
to 'Control Panel' I can only see a screen blink and disappear. I have the
administrator's right.

What went wrong in my machine and what can I do now to fix it.

Thanks

Hi Kin,

You can try to boot into the "Advanced Boot Options" screen and select
"Last Known Good Configuration (advanced)" to see if that will fix your
problem. This tutorial will show you how.

If that does not help, then you can do a Repair Install. This tutorial
will show you how to do this.
