Black Screen fixed But ....

I am running :

Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
Sapphire Radeon X600 Video
2 GB Memory
1 WD 80 GB HD
1 WD 120 GB HD
Vista Beta 2 32 bit

I also had the problem of the dreaded "Black Screen" at bootup. I ended
up disconnecting all of my peripheals (printers,scanners,USB ports etc). I
then did a reinstall. Worked out great. I put this over Win XP.During
installation it asked me if i wanted to save the previous system as
Windows.old as I did,all on the 80 GB HD. now out of 80 GB I have 13 GB left.
Can I just delete all that is in the Windows.old file Safely ?
