blue screen 0X0000005C

Hi all,

I hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction.

When i try to install vista from disc i get an (ERROR)

the error is STOP

0X0000005C) 0X0000010B 0X00000003 0X00000000 0X00000000

this happens when i first put the disc in and loads the first set of files
then i get a blue screen with the above.

this also happens when i upgrade xp to vista...

any ideas.......

microsoft windows xp
media center edition
version 2002
service pack2

hp pavilion
intelÂ®
pentiumÂ® 4cpu 3.00ghz 3.00ghz
1.00gb of ram
