Blue screen on boot after new raid array

Posted: 01-13-2009, 02:56 AM

i recently decided to go with a raid array for my file storage on my
desktop. i originally just had 3 hard drives, one being a western
digital sata 250 gig on which win xp and vista are installed. i am
adding 2- 500 gig seagate satas for a mirrored array. originally, i
didn't install the raid drivers when i installed my system. after
initializing the array in my bios , i go into boot either winxp or win
vista and get a blue screen (bsod). booting into safe mode stops at
crcdisk.sys and then resets.
as much as i would hate to reinstall, i am afraid i might have to...
even if the process is long, i'm willing to avoid a reinstall..
what should i do?
thanks,
rob
