boot doesn't go past config.sys

Hi, I'm in Mongolia away from friendly tekky-types. My XP
doesn't go past the "we apologise". No atter what I select
(safe mode etc) it doesn't get far. In safe mode files
start scrlolling but but stops on the config/system.log
file.

I'd appreciate some assistance.

If you already tried Last known good configuration from the Menu then
go to www.dougknox.com WinXP Tips
Left column Last entry. Do a Repair Install.
