boot from non-persistent drive like compact flash

Posted: 01-23-2004, 05:40 PM
Hi!
Does anyone know, if it is possible to boot from a compact flash or a
pcmcia-ata drive with Windows XP. I know that Windows XPe does so, but I
donīt want to use windows XP embedded.
Is there any possiblity to copy only a few files from an embedded
installation to the XP installation to do so? Or does anyone know any other
way to boot from non-persistent drives?

Thank
Jens
