| Hi Guys I have dual boot system now,(XP Home , XP Media Center 2005) and now i installed the Vista Bata 2. All is working well so far. Each of my systems is on a seperate hard drive. I have 4 hard drives in my system ,1. xp home , 2. storage , 3. xp media center , 4. Vista. Is there a way to tell the boot manager that i want to boot xp home as default ,not Vista. Can i edite the boot manager? Or get vista incorporated into the xp boot order without useing the vista boot manager. Thanks in advance. Carl G | Guest

| The default boot on a dual boot question has been coming up for about a year, and there have been a lot of remedies, including VistaBootPro and I saw this part of the debug article and supposed it was recommending to use BCEDIT to do the same thing and I guess that this tool just makes it easier than spending time to learn to modify the boot store via BCEDIT. | Thanks Guys That is what i was looking for. So far Vista has been working good on my machine. My machine is = Asus P4800-E Deluxe Board ,3.2 CPU , 2 gig of memory ,4 sata hard drives, 2 DVD burners. But XP runs a bunch faster here then Vista , as far as clicking on folders and opening them and just general snooping around the PC. Had a few problems with IE7 on websites My only problem is mail. I have Qwest DSL and http mail , I didn't really want to use hotmail. I installed microsoft outlook on vista and that seams to work ok. This old dog just likes outlook express. For some reason the Live site tells me i am not alowed to have windows live mail desktop. oh well we are still testing RIGHT. Thanks guys Carl G -- Carl G "Carl G" <cgerving@msnDOTcom> wrote in message news:3F3DFE19-01C0-462B-9546-FFAFD17A69F6@microsoft.com... Quote:
