Boot up XP Pro from Slave

I currently has xp pro installed on master hd and would like to change this
drive to slave. How can I boot up the xp pro from a slave drive without
reformating the partition and reinstalling xp pro??

I tried to reinstall the xp pro on old partition after I switch it to slave.
The xp pro installation program does not recognize the xp installation
partition and insist to reformat it before install the new copy. The xp pro
is not an upgrade version. It is an oem version which come with my system
when I bought new.

A third party bootmanager is an easy solution. Try BootIt NG which has the
ability to boot Slave drives and can partition and image. The trial is good
