Booting XPE from CompactFlash

Dear all,
I have developed Windows XPE image to boot from flash.It is working
fine on FAT 16 256 MB flash. now i change the flash as FAT32 file
system.The XPE image does not boot from this flash. it displays the error
"Disk Error." Please help me to solve this problem.

Hello,

You should use plain old dos tools: fdisk, format and bootprep on your target computer to create bootable partition that contain
geometry specific to computer that you want XPe to boot on.

I also use a bootable Flash Drive and have in the past had the same issue.

I usually install the Flash Media in the PC it will be used in, then boot of
a DOS Floppy (Windows 98 SE) bootable disk and FDISK the Flash and Format it
in the machine it will be used on. Once this is done just run BOOTPREP.EXE
and then remove it from the machine and copy the embedded image on the the
Flash. Put it back in the machine and it should boot without a problem.

If you format it in another machine then you may have issues
