I am shocked that MS has not considered this thing as it has been since IE
4!!!!!!
So shut up about the dumb Aero about "making the user feel positive from the
moment you use the PC to when you shut down" according to MS marketing.
Seriously, after month of testing I feel quite the opposite, Aero sucks.
It's half-baked, whether you admit it or not. Just look at the huge UI
inconsistencies (non-Sergoe UI fonts, Windows 3.1/XP icons, Search box
randomly put)
Fact: Aero does not make you feel positive about the OS, it's a dumb
facelift...
OK enough M$ bashing... here's the real issue you need to solve MS folks (or
should I say plumbers as they like to say?)
BUG: Internet Exploer 7 Work Offline dialog box
SYMPTOM: Whenever you set Work Offline and go to ANY previously visited
website, this stupid "Webpage unavailable while offline" dialog box appears
all the time:
- it appears when you open IE
- it appears when you visit sites that contain other linked objects that are
NOT in the Temporary Internet Files (such as ads)
SOLUTION: Respect users' decision and also your so-called "Aero" motto. stop
popping this dumb and irrelevant pop up. do I need to click "Stay Offline"
all the time? I know I'm offline so tell IE to shut up and stop annoying
your users. This is ruining the "Aero" experience. Aero feels stupid with
this. Windows is still dumb and retarded. You're not there yet, so stop
acting like a Mac. OS X is good because everything is looked from the user's
perspective, and they test
drive every stupid dialog box such as these ones and get rid of them.
So, pretty pretty please... eradicate this overlived bug once and for all
before RTM?
