Burner

When I upgraded my computer to Windows XP it picked up my
(PacificDigital Mach 24 24x10x40 CDRW) as just a CD-R
Drive not a CD-RW Drive how can I fix this problem.

Does it read and write as it should ? If so, don't worry about what the
Device Manager calls it, unless you see conflicts or the like.

Can anyone help , when i try to copy a dvd and it could
be any dvd it get to about 80% or more then shuts the
coputer down and when it restarts i get this error
message about minidump , can anyone tell what this means
and how can i fix it.

i have a dvd burner and use no other software but what is
in xp. My pc used to burn to the dvd re-writables but now
it will not recognize them. It will still do cd but not
dvds. Was this an update and can I get rid of it?

XP's burning software is pretty much hopeless

I think its only for cd writing not DVD writers
Rocky. And it doesnt support packet-writing
and I doubt 4.7 GB for DVD either.

Your best bet, is to buy something like CD
Creator/DirectCD, or some kind of software
that makes use of DVD writers.
