I can't get Cakewalk Music Creator 2003 to install with
Windows XP. Keep getting error message "unable to detect
DirectX 8.1 on my system. I recently downloaded the
upgrade DirectX 9.0b.

If you have a newer version of DirectX, then the problem lies in the Cakewalk
installer. Contact them for support.
