It's called 3-way calling but it is provided by the telco at extra charge
over base rate. Can't be done via computer modem with 1 telco line to my
knowledge. Why would you need to do this with Windows XP and a computer?

You would put the second number in the dialing string with the first
number. You must put commas in the string after the first number to
allow the response to continue. Each comma equals two seconds of
pause. Dial a number with a regular telephone to see what you have
to put in the dialing string. Sometimes you need a "w" for a wait
if a tone is issued by the calling card service. The pauses should
work just as well as long as the dialing does not resume before the
service is ready for the additional numbers. Your dialing string
should look like this "ATDT18005551211,,,,17035551212" with the
appropriate changes for the real numbers or other characters
required by your calling card service.

You might have to increase your modem timeout if the connection
takes longer than the default time.
