Call of Duty help

I am having problems with COD. The graphics are so
choppy & slow, the game is virtually unplayable. I am
running a Gateway laptop XP Pro P4 - 1.8ghz - 512ram -
ATI Mobility M7 64mb - recently installed SP2. I have
adjusted all graphic/performance options to the low end
with no change. Please help, this is the first game that
has not worked perfectly on my computer! COD:United
Offensive runs even worse (it was installed immediately
after I installed COD:Game of the Year version). Thanks
