Camera Wizard no longer detects copy pics to a folder

hi can anybody help , this is driving me insane,
ive not got real player installed, ive got windows xp uptodate ,
ive got olympus d-380 camera,
ive tryed the auto fix , the fix for putting new files un regersty,
all the ones listed on this group site and on

widow pops up when it detects usb , i choose copy pics to folder then it
goes off nothing , other parts work ok ,
in the properties in the removable drive in says music but i change it to
pics then apply close it then open again its back to music .
is it sp2 thats done this , if so shouldnt microsoft give us fix for this ?
or can i uninstall sp2 ?
