Can datecode be reset

I have a dv tape that was shot when the date had not been set on the
camcorder. I can capture it to mey pc without a problem, but there is no
datecode. Is there any software that will write a datecode to the avi file?

Also, if I use Windows Movie Maker to send the avi file back to the DV
camera (Sony DCR-TRV530) via firewire connection what will the datecode be -
what's in the file or the current datetime on the camera?
