can I go back to windows xp?

My Vista Ultimate install has seemingly trashed my favorites in IE7.
My HP1012 printer does not work - does not even show up as a printer
attached to the system. VS2005 has been reset and is sluggish. I
have a bad feeling about this - I use this PC for work and things are
not working.

Can I undo the install and return to windows xp?
