My workplace has several computers that was delivered with Vista
Business, but without media. Can I download the Vista-iso from my MSDN
subscription to use for this deployment?

All the computers has the key-sticker on the underside.

With a Vista Volume license agreement you have re-imaging rights... So
if you have a volumece license agreement, yes..

Only if you have taken out a Volume License for some PC in your environment
are you entitled to reimage all of them using your Volume License Media.
Your MSDN key and media are fro development and testing only not company
wide desktop reimaging for production use..
You can reimage using your VL Media (not the MSDN media) you have as part of
your VL agreement on a number of PCs within your environment.
So as long as you have a Volume License on at least one PC in your company
under a VL agreement with Microsoft you have reimage rights to your your VL
media to do all your PCs.

Well... The Microsoft licensing stuff is difficult to grasp for me I
am really just a developer, but as I'm the only IT-person in my company,
I sort of am the IT-manager as well.

Let me make the scenario more specific:
We have about 9 laptops in our company, all of which have an oem Vista
Business license. I, the developer, have an MSDN Pro subscription, which
in addition to the MSDN subscriptions give me access to a few other
licensing sites @microsoft.com. Among them eOpen. If I go to the eOpen
site, I have a link that says "View Volume License Keys". And if I click
that link I get to a page that has a table with lots of keys, including
"Vista KMS".

However, none of the laptops we use have VLK-licensed Vista installs
now. All use the OEM install they got when they were new. But none of
them came with Vista media. Only crappy factory reset discs.

This is why I'm wondering if I can use the ISO i download from MSDN,
with the Vista key that's on a sticker under each laptop, and still be
on the right side of the law...

Ye, I could guess from your OP that you didn't have specific VLKs fo
those laptops. The above guys hoppefully can give you the answer thoug
to your problem..

Men uansett, Kan du ikke siden du er i en forretning(er det det de
heter pA norsk? :P) ringe leverandOren av de maskinene dere har o
spOrre dem

lykke til
