| Can not install windows search on vista business 1. sp1 patched. 2. error msg:Yes, i have the Vista SP1 in stalled. The error msg is "The update does not apply to your system" The file i downloaded is Windows6.0-KB940157-x86. 3. windows updates updated. don't SP1 is final rel or beta, don't know how to find. | Guest

| This error msg "The update does not apply to your system" may cause because some updates before are NOT installed.Check UPDATE HISTORY and look for failed updates by DATE,copy the name of update one by one and search in google which switch you to microsoft and you can download it manually.But be sure you install updates by turn (date). | Updates who once failed to install and then were succesful,that's not a problem,those updates are succesful,you search only for IMPORTANT and RECOMMANDED updates who failed and install manually by turn (date). "Tom Tang" wrote: Quote:
