Can Vista 64bit use 32bit IFilters?

Posted: 12-10-2006, 01:11 PM
I've just installed Adobe reader 8.0 on Vista 64bit. It works fine
except that PDFs are not being indexed by the Vista search/index system.
When I look at the indexing service's Advanced Options I see that
the IFilter for PDF files is marked as "Registered IFilter is not found".

Does anyone know the cause of this or a workaround? Could it be because
Vista 64bit cannot use 32bit IFilters?
