Can WMP10 sync with an iPod?

Posted: 03-23-2005, 09:23 PM
I'm i-unhappy with iTunes - It hasn't got anything like the functionality of
WMP10 - can anyone suggest a way of making WMP10 sync with it. I can see it
in the devices but can't get the songs onto it (supported format - MP3)

P.S. what does [MVP] mean after yo' name?

You need a special plugin. Look up iPod on www.wmplugins.com

You can not use WMP10 with itunes.
That is why I do not recommend the IPOD or iTUNES
You can buy a 40G player for $230 at staples or any other retail store.

Lack of WMA support or built-in radio and inability use as an external
drive are my main reasons for not getting an iPod (apart from my friends
telling me theirs are constantly in at Apple's repair-shop). The
iriver-H320 and XClef HD-800 are the current gadgets closest to my needs.

1. I've never met anyone that actually uses WMA.
2. Radio? Isn't the whole idea of a DAP to avoid radio?
3. The iPod can be used as an external hard drive.

And here I figured Mike was one of those iPod-carrying MS employees that
irritates Bill Gates to no end! ;-)

You really need to get out more.

Not in my world.

Not transparently via driver-less USB connection as a number of
alternate devices can be used.

MVPs are not Microsoft employees, but we and the WMP team have mututally
irritating relationship.

WMAs & WMV are very good audio and video files. I create WMV files for some
of my video work.
I convert my mp3 files to WMA since they are small and are good quality,
better then apples format.

Joe, I have to agree with you. I create slide shows with background music
using PhotoStory. They are in WMV format. The video and sounds are
excellent.
