cannot establish dialup connection on desktop with broadband

My desktop (Windows XP Professional) is connected to
broadband cable via a wireless lan. I would like to
install a dialup connection but the "New Connection
Wizard" option for dialup connections is 'grayed out' and
only the "cable connection" is enabled. I cannot disable
it and check dialup.
Is it possible to have both connections set up on the
same computer so that I can switch between the two?
