Cannot Install X64

Hi, I'm currently running Vista RC1 Build 5600 (32 bit)

My boss gave me a copy of the 64 bit to try on my EM64T machine. I put the
CD in and when I run setup.exe it gives me a compatability error.

When I boot the CD it loads the windows files...shows the vista progress
bar...then another screen appears with a retro background and a hour-glass
cursor, then it goes away and sits there. No installation comes up what so
ever.

I have an EM64T Proccessor with HT

More description of your hardware would help. There is more to it than the
processor.

When i Installed vista rc1 on my amd 64 it took a while at that hourglass
thing five or six min with no access to cdrom or hdd but after that it
installed ok

EM64T (915PCY) - Intel
ATI X600 Graphics Card
1 Gig (2 , 512 sticks)
120 Gig Maxtor

any other info you need?

Is the hdd a SATA drive? You didn't specify the mobo so I can't tell if the
SATA drivers are integrated or whether you need to supply a driver at the
beginning of Setup.
