| We got a Windows Vista Home Premium PC. I set it up with an administrator account and three user accounts one for me and one each for my parents a couple of months later i tried to log on to my account and it came up with "The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User Profile Service cannot be loaded" i went into the administrator account and created a second account for myself for the time being i tried to transfer the files from my old account to the new one but it didn't work. When i decided to try again i found the problem had now spread to the Administrator account. Thanks for your time. | Guest

Try this to see if it will get you going again: 1. Boot in to Safe Mode. This tutorial will show you how. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88...t-options.html 2. Make sure that the "User Profile Service" is set to Automatic and Started. This tutorial will show you how. If it is, then right click on and click Properties. Click on the Log On tab and make sure that only the "Local System account" is dotted (checked), then make sure that "Hardware Profile" is Enabled. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/59910-services.html 3. Restart the computer to see if you are able to logon now.
