Default Cannot open a saved (acronis) file password protected- - but its not!

Hi,
As header. My recent episodes with vista have been a nightmare to say the
least but I finally got my version activated at last! but I cant access a
saved tib file on my hd cos windows says I need a password and I did not set
this- -I saved via the home 10 disc ie: booted to it.
Any ideas here- please tia
Stuart.

Hmm...I have been using ATI Home version 10 in Vista with a password
assigned to the backups with no issues in the latest build, 4942. I think
only the latest two builds are fully Vista compatible. What build are you
using?

You might want to post this to one of the ATI user forums, by going through
their website.

Hi,
I found the build was not the most recent! So I guess that may have an
effect. Anyway I restored some of my previous "vista" items to a file on "c"
drive via the acronis control and got most of what I needed but now I cant
delete the copy of restored stuff in that file as it seems to think it has
the genuine program files etc (acronis restored an image of "c" drive )
Tried to delete in safe mode but when I tried to "explore" it just sat there
with that egg timer!!!
Not sure this is normal. any ideas on this? tia.
Stuart.

Give your account ownership of the files and folders to be deleted, and then
give your account full access. You should be able to delete then. From
Start | Help and Support search on ownership and look at the link:
Troubleshoot "access denied" when opening files or folders

H again,
Tried the ownership thing but got nowhere. The system seemed unable to
accept that the files were duplicates- - soooo----I formatted again and I am
back without those extra files
Don't know what vista has in store for me next!
Thanks for your help though.
Stuart.

Ok, Stuart, sorry that didn't work out but glad you're running again. Have
fun.
