| I have tried to remove IE 7 Beta 2 so that I could install IE 7 Beta 3 and I keep getting the message: Windows Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 cannot be uninstalled from this user account. Please log on to the same user account from which it was installed and try again. Unfortunately, there is only one account on this machine, and it is mine, which is also the 'administrator' account. I cannot switch to another user since there is none. This is also not covered by anything I've found on the Microsoft Support Site HELP!!!! How do I get IE 7 Beta 2 off the machine????? | Found the solution via lots of searching. Go to the program directory and rename the internet explorer exe file. Windows will replace the file with the ie6 version and you can then properly load version 7 again. All it is doing is looking at the version in the program file directory. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Fri, 30 Jun 2006 19:03:22 -0600, "R S (Bob) Heuman" <rsh@idirect.com> wrote: Quote:
