Cannot see HKCU or HKLM keys

Posted: 11-18-2003, 08:49 PM
I'm signed in as network administrator into an XP Pro
machine. I got the Windows XP Registry Guide book by
Jerry Honeycutt. In that book, it states I should be able
to make computer-wide changes in the HKCU key. The
problem is, I can't see that key.

There aren't any known permissions set against the
administrator from viewing this. Does anyone have ANY
idea what would cause this, and how to fix it?

Maybe means HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Hopefully you can see that.

And computer wide changes are made in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. CURRENT_USER is
just that, for the CURRENT user.
