| Hi, I have a file on a CD (backup) that contains French characters (accent). With Win98 I have no problem copying/renaming and opening the file. With NT/2000/XP, I cannot open/copy or rename the file. 1) While attemting to open with MS Word, I get: Microsoft Word This file could not be found. Try one or more of the following: * Check the spelling of the name of the document. * Try a different file name. (E:\...\GOUVERNEMENT DU QUÉBEC.DOC) OK 2) While trying to copy into the hard disk, I get Error Copying File or Folder Cannot copy file: Cannot read from the source file or disk. OK I presume it's related to the file system of NT (2000/XP) and foreign character handling but don't know how to fix the problem. Is there a patch for this problem? Thanks in advance for any hints, S. | Guest
