Default can't access my Documents & Settings!

I had to do a System Recovery, but now:

1) "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner is not accessible. Access is denied."

.... and...

2) C:\Documents and Settings\Owner_2 is now my personal directory.

How do I regain access to my email & documents????
and,
How could I change the name of this system directory?

Please Help!
Thanks.

Fascinating ! Were your parents lesbians? They must have been to give you a
name like Vulva Titman. Do you have a sister called Fanny and a Mother
called Labina too ?

Under tools/Folder options/view in explorer uncheck "use simple file
sharing".
Right-click on the folder in question, choose sharing and security, under
the security tab, choose advanced options, and the owner tab. From here you
can take ownership of the folder which right now has an alien owner.

From there it's just a matter of accessing the proper files.

For simplicity, when you are done, go back to Tools/Folder options/View and
recheck "use simple file sharing"

The name's Vulvar, not Vulva, 'cause I'm a guy...
.... a guy that wouldn't mind seeing the vulva of a LesGirl...

.... but then again, that's a little off-topic. I'll look for your close-ups

Is that how it's done with Professional? 'Cause with Home there is no "use
simple file sharing" checkbox there, and I already found out that the rest
of your instructions are only possible by rebooting in Safe Mode. (I dunno
why.) But thanks anyway. Happen to know if there's an upgrade to Pro
available?

Sorry, I keep forgetting there are 2 versions of XP and run the pro version
myself. Having never run the home version I don't always know what's missing
from one to the other. I'm glad you were able to take ownership of the
folder though, that's all that matters. :-)

As far as upgrades go, can't help ya there.
