Can't access some websites

I have a deskpro 4000 w/win98se and internet explorer 6.
My problem is that so far the only websites that I can't
access is: acrobat.com home site, Java 'Download Now'
link, and a HP forum link that was sent to my e-mail. I
have checked and rechecked settings and I need help. Does
someone know what is wrong?

You might have better luck in one of the "microsoft.public.win98"
newsgroups. This one is Windows XP specific.
