Can't burn anything

I can't burn a thing, music or data cds. I'm running XP
Home, Ahead Nero software, and a liteonit 52-24-52 CD-RW
burner, which all came stock with my machine. When i set
up data to be burned to back up my files (all data), it
runs great through the simulation, but hangs up in the
write mode at about 26% read. I've tried different discs
including CD-RW discs and dropping the speed of the burn,
but these haven't fixed the problem. Does anyone have
some suggestions.
PS I've had the machine for about 2 years and have burned
successfully when I first got it. I haven't burned
anything in a while though. Now I need to back up my data
and I can't.

Open My Computer and right click on your CD drive listed there. Click on
Properties. A window will open. Click on the Recording tab and check the box
"Enable..."

Can't burn anything

Thanks for the advice, but I already had it enabled. I
ended up putting in a new burner and now everything is
working fine.
