| Hi folks Unlike most people here I cant stop XP Home connecting to the internet when I log on. I've disabled all automatic connections via 3rd party software ( live updates , messenger etc). I'm using Internet connection sharing Gateway with an XP Pro machine hosting ADSL. Everytime I disconnect or disable the connection it reconnects within a minute or so. I've run task manager/processes to try to identify the source but no luck ....any ideas? Thanks in advance Martin | Guest

similar question. In that case, though it was dial-up, so I don't know if the same technique can be used. Disable or Enable AutoDial (Line 91) http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm To view the list of names and addresses recorded by AutoDial, type the following command at a command prompt: rasautou -s To delete a name or address entry from the list: Start/Run/Regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\RAS Autodial\Addresses You can delete any TCP/IP addresses that you see under this key. Note that AutoDial can use IP addresses, DNS fully qualified domain names (FQDN), and NetBIOS names. | Guest
