Can't login after rebooting remote desktop computer

Posted: 07-09-2003, 04:58 PM
For some reason, after I remotely reboot my computer, I cannot log
back into it (remotely). However, once I log back in directly (at the
computer itself), then remote login works again. Anyone have any idea
why this would happen? I do shutdown -r to reboot.

Thanks,
Chad

Is there a 3rd party screen saver running when you try to remote desktop to
that machine or do you know if the machine is in standby or sleep mode when
you try to RD?

Some people have noted this problem in the past, thus why there is a
"autologin and lock" workaround out there... I believe it is based on
your Fast User Switching setting. Try temporarily changing this
setting and see what happens.
