| Hi, I installed sp3 on my workstation even though it did not show up on the automatic update. After the installation it asked me to shutdown, I said yes and nothing happens. I tried shutting it down manually, nothing happens. It wont even let me logoff. I can push the power button turn it off and turn it on. It will let me log in again, but I still cant logoff or shutdown. Can anyone help me here... thanks | Guest

| Hi, This is just a stab in the dark since I have yet to touch that SP: Check the local security policy and see if your user has rights to shutdown the computer. You need to login as an administrator to access this from the computer. If this system is a member of an AD domain, you may need to analyze the domain security policy. "VJ" wrote: Quote:
