can't move taskbar

My taskbar suddenly went from being horizontal at the
base of my screen to vertical on the right side of it.
I've tried everything I can think of to try to move and
restore it back to its horizontal position. I've tried
unsuccessfully unlocking the taskbar and dragging it.
Anyone know how to restore the taskbar to its original
position? Thanks!

Are you holding down the mouse key while dragging the bar?

I hve the same problem. And I am certianly holding down the mouse button.
