Problem: Windows XP detects my printer, but Does not
print any documents, from any programs. I can print from
command propmt. Also the external modem is detected and
installed, but cannot commnucate with it (either from COM1
or COM2)
Both hardware, worked fine a couple of weeks ago.

Problem Hardware: BJC-4100 Canon Printer, ACCEX V.92
External Modem

PC Specs:
Windows XP Pro, all updates installed
AMD XP 2400
AV78X Asus Motherboard
512Mb 2700 DDRam
Radeon 9700 Pro Video card
Sound Blaster Audigy Sound Card

Remove both devices from Device Manager and Printer sections. Reboot and
let XP re-detect the modem. Then, re-install the printer drivers.

It could be that a configuration file is missing and the above method is a
quick way of fixing it.
