Can't read my own burned CDs!

Posted: 12-06-2003, 01:42 AM
I have a Sony Viao (PCG-FXA53). It is unable to read CDs
that I burn, even if I burn the CD on THIS computer, it
can not read them back. It says I have inserted a blank
disc, but on any other computer it works just fine. It
had worked fine for the first 11 months, but then in June
it started acting funny and now I can read less and less
CDs. I live in China and it is really dusty here, so
I've tried using a CD lense cleaner. I also have not
done all of the Windows updates that there are since my
internet connection is SO slow here. Is there some update
that I have missed that might be causing the problem? I
use burned CDs often, so I really need to get this fixed
quickly.
The CD drive is MATSHITA UJDA720 DVD/CDRW Thanks!
Sincerely,
Lisa
