Can't reinstall modem and sound driver devices.

I have a Fax Talk disk and a DCS Sound Drivers Disk, but I
have tried all possibilites to install both of these
drivers that I don't know what else to do.
I am not totally ignorant about computers, but I have
learned much by trial and error, mostly error!
Can I have an viable suggestions to remedy my problem??
