Can't remove text frame colour/border

It's through complete frustration (partially at myself) that I find myself posting this question. I know this problem is easily solved, and the most annoying thing is I've done it myself in the past. However, today my memory fails me.

The problem is my text frames are coloured. Not coloured through the colour or swatch palettes and I can't remember how to remove the colouring. The colours are there only as a guide as when I go into preview mode the page looks perfect (minus garishly coloured text frames).

Can someone please tell me how to remove the colours?
