Can't start MovieMaker

I can't even start Movie Maker - as soon as it loads I get a message box
saying it has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2
AMD Athlon 64 FX-53 2.40 GHz
1GB RAM
nVidia GeForce FX 5200
WD 80GB SATA HD
