Can't start newly installed Street & Trips

I upraded S/T 2002 to S/T 2004. After downloading there
is no shortcut on desktop and when I went to "start",
programs,(it flashed "new program")the screen came up but
the program is not listed. Is it possible the list is
full? I un-installed, disabled anti-virus, and
reinstalled Streets & Trips 2004. I still can't open the
program.
