Cant sync ultimate with server 2003 HELP

Hi there i am really hoping someone can help me. I decided after the SP1
patch to make the leap from XP pro to Vista Ultimate, now i have a big
issue.

I seem to be unable to "make files avaliable offline".

I check the folder via the normal route.

My company is using Windows server 2003 R2 and every time i try to sync
i get the same message on every file, this is " The process cannot
access the file because it is being used by another process"

PLEASE HELP or i will have no choice than to go back to XP as i need to
be able to work offline with server files.
