Google indicates that WinTasks is some sort of tweaking program. Go into
Start>Run and type "msconfig" without the quotes and uncheck the box
next to WinTasks. Or just uninstall it.

If you run everything you get on PC cover disks, you will eventually
succeed in shooting yourself in the foot, big time. Personally I only
run the things I wanted anyway (Winzip, SP1 update, stuff like that).
The rest is much more likely to 'kill' than 'cure' .. and this
particular utility doesn't appear to do anything that I can't do (for
free) in some other, and 'properly supported', fashion.

That's ok...but the point here is if the user (or even VIPs... MVPs)can't
make any head or tail of the damn error messages....of what use are
they...other than filling the compu with junk !!!
(...and the best way to maintain a compu is not to do anything with it...)
Can you please suggest a free alternative to 'this particular utility'
'properly supported'...?
Thanks

Tell me what you hoped to do with it, and I'll try to suggest another
way of achieving the same thing. From the specs, it doesn't appear to be
offering you anything you can't get at with other utilities.
