CAPS-lock or SHIFT ?

Hi,

When I installed XP-Pro, I took the option to use the SHIFT key to
release CAPS LOCK, instead of using the CAPS LOCK key itself - like we
always used to.

That was fine in theory but my 40mph brain driving 100mph fingers simply
cannot adjust to the change and I need to normalise things.

I cannot find anywhere at all to undo that choice. It seems you can't
even make that choice except at installation :-(

I do need to reset it though. Can anyone help me please ?

Try this... I just found it in google.
Go to the Control Panel folder and pull up the Keyboard control panel menu.
On the "Input Locales" tab, there is an entry "To turn off Caps Lock". Click
the "Press SHIFT key" radio button. This should make the keyboard respond as
you describe.
