cd-drive won't eject cd inserted

It did not play it either. Does anyone have any ideas?

If the solution offered by "Byte" doesn't work, try this. Somewhere on the
front panel of your CD drive, there is a very tiny hole- possibly located
near to the "eject" button. (NOT the headphone jack!!!) Push a
straightened paper clip into that hole to partially open the drawer.
