CD-RW

I upgraded to XP Professional. Now my CD-RW won't burn.
It won't format. I've downloaded Roxio's latest Creator
7 Suit. The CD works just fine until I try to write to
it. My computer is two years old. It's a Gateway.
Gateway does not offer an XP driver update for the CD-
RW. I've done all the basic checks. I'm at a loss. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
