CD-RW Disks Losing Data and Going Insane

Posted: 08-27-2003, 11:23 AM
I had a CD-RW disk with a file on it, and then I pop it
in one day, and it's blank. Now two more won't
automatically open in windows when I insert them - I have
to manually go into My Computer and open them. And
then! - My drive light just Stays on indefinately when it
reads them, the icons for the files completely vanish,
and one of the disks completely crashes my computer
almost every time I try to read from it. This is my
experience with my first three CD-RW disks ever. I'm
super impressed. They're all the same brand, from the
same package. No other disks, including CD-R disks, do
this to my computer.
Does anybody else have this problem? Any advice? Yeah,
I'll try a different brand.
Thank you.
