CD/RW problems

ACER 2010a, hardware cleaning.
It's slave of a Samsung CDRom (as bee set to master for a while, but was
working fine). Now can read MP3 CDs , not all of them. Can read fine WMAs
and some DATA CDs.
The settings for both IDE secondary channel where: "DMA if Available"and
current data exchange was"Multi word DMA -Mode2".
The settings in the BIOS were fine two. No error message at all. A
rewritable CD erasing has been done, stopped at 5 secs from the process
normal ending, the CD stuck in the driver, had to restart;the CDRW went
back to PIO only and had to reset.
The driver are all Windows Publisher ed 2600.
The IDE Controller Drive version is: 5.1.2600.1106 Digitally signed. For the
CDRW the driver version is 5.1.2535.0 - digitally signed. In Drivers details
the are
cdrom.sys;
imapi.sys;
redbook.sys;
storpro.dll.
All of them digitally signed.
The audio, video and games controller driver version is also 5.1.2600.1106,
but all the dll in the details for driver are reported as "enabled, but not
correctly functioning", I have no idea if this might be related to the CDRW
problems.
I do not think to have any other details to give, arrived at the conclusion
it's an hardware pro.
Any suggestion's appreciated.
Andrea
